FAQ

Web apps: common questions

What web frameworks does Type Apps use?

Type Apps builds web apps mainly with React and Next.js in TypeScript, backed by Node.js APIs and databases such as PostgreSQL or MongoDB. For online stores we use Shopify or custom checkouts with Stripe. The choice depends on what the product needs, and it is agreed during discovery.

Do you build e-commerce sites?

Yes. We build online stores on Shopify and custom checkouts with Stripe, along with headless CMS setups for content. Examples include Leeos Merch, a merchandising storefront and ordering site for custom merch, and Stay Fresh, an online store for premium sneakers, streetwear and collectibles.

Where will my web app be hosted?

On the cloud you already use, or the one that fits best: AWS, Google Cloud, Azure, Vercel, Railway or Cloudflare. We set up infrastructure as code and a CI/CD pipeline that tests, scans and deploys each change, so releases stay routine and security checks run every time.

Are your web apps accessible?

Yes. Type Apps builds web apps to be fast and accessible, so they work with keyboards and screen readers and load quickly on slower connections. Accessibility is part of the design and the build from the first sprint, rather than a fix at the end.

How long does a web app take to build?

Timelines depend on scope, so every project starts with discovery and you get a scope, estimate and roadmap before any commitment. Work runs in two-week sprints with daily updates and a demo at the end of each one, so you see a working app early and can adjust priorities as you go.

Can the same team build the mobile app too?

Yes. Type Apps builds web apps and iOS and Android apps, with design, cloud and security in the same team. Having one team from first sketch to production means the web app, the mobile app and the APIs behind them are planned together, so nothing gets lost between vendors.
